Research shows that stress and anxiety significantly impact a pregnant woman's behavior, which can, in turn, affect the progression of labor and the health of the pregnancy. Reducing anxiety is linked to lower morbidity rates for both mothers and newborns.
Approximately 40 midwives participated in the Postpartum Care Support Program. Over 1,000 women, beginning at week 35 of their pregnancies, enrolled in the project and received dedicated telephone support from a midwife.
In addition, over 250 women who were evacuated from their homes, whose spouses were called to serve in reserves, and others in similar situations received support, including a home visit from a certified midwife for evaluation, assessment, and care of both the mother and newborn.
"I would like to express my gratitude for the wonderful collaboration between Huggies and the Israel Midwives Association. It's incredibly challenging to navigate the period after a first birth without help, especially during a war. The amazing Sigal (the midwife) provided invaluable support, calming me down and guiding me with compassion and professionalism. I'm so grateful my husband encouraged me to leave my details on your website after seeing your TV commercial. It was an excellent decision! Best of luck, and please continue your superb work alongside your outstanding products!"
“Hila is absolutely wonderful! Thanks to her, I learned about the project, and she provided support when my husband was fighting in Gaza and unable to be there for me. She answered all my questions and alleviated much of the anxiety and pressure I felt before and after the situation. I will definitely return to give birth in the same place next time and will seek her out.”
“This is an incredible project, and I wish every mother-to-be had access to it. It gave me the confidence to go to the hospital and significantly reduced my anxiety. I received professional and caring support from an amazing midwife, Karen, who ensured that all the staff I encountered were attentive and supportive. We connected toward the end of my pregnancy, met once before my birth in the hospital, and she also visited me after the birth both in the hospital and at home. I was very fortunate!”
