HOTLINE FOR BIRTHING MOTHERS
Following the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war on October 7, 2023, the Association established a hotline to support pregnant and postpartum women with any needs related to the ongoing situation in Israel.
POSTPARTUM CARE SUPPORT PROGRAM In Collaboration With Huggies
This project provides personalized support from a qualified midwife before and after childbirth. Thanks to the collaboration between Huggies and the Israel Midwives Association, we manage to provide postpartum care for 1250 women.
The collaboration between Huggies and the Israel Midwives Association was initiated in the aftermath of the "Iron Swords" war, driven by the understanding that we are all experiencing trauma and deep pain. It became essential to provide tailored support for pregnant and postpartum women during this time of stress and uncertainty.
BY YOUR SIDE – One on One Midwifery care
The "By Your Side" project was born from a deep wound, driven by the desire to provide comprehensive support for women who have lost their loved ones. Initiated in response to a request from a family member of a woman who became widowed while pregnant on October 7, the project supports widows of IDF personnel, security forces, and those widowed due to hostilities. Recognizing the complex journey of pregnancy and childbirth after such loss, we established a continuous midwifery support system tailored to women’s needs from early pregnancy.
NAVIGATING LABOR
This project was initiated in response to the lessons learned from the events of October 7, emphasizing the critical importance of a civil response amidst the ongoing escalation in the northern sector. Understanding that continuous midwifery support can significantly reduce anxiety, morbidity, and maternal and fetal mortality, we established this project specifically to benefit pregnant women in the north.
